UK's Sun Life posts strong sales for the first half

Sun Life & Provincial Holdings PLC posted an improvement of 32% in its index for new life insurance and pension product sales for the first-half of 1999. Sun Life reported that these sales reached 299.4 million pound sterling (461.3 million euros) for the period. The company posted strong single premium bond sales for the 1999 first quarter. This helped Sun Life's sales index for the first half.
