US Steel can enter VSZ
Article Abstract:
VSZ (Kosice, Slovakia), metallurgy company, will be acquired by US Steel (US) in Nov 2000. The transaction was agreed by the Slovak Antimonopoly Office in the autumn of 2000. US Steel, which is a part of the concern USX (US), will pay USD 495.5 mil for a 100% stake in VSZ. US Steel promised to pay USD 700 mil in VSZ by 2010, including the redemption of VSZ's debts worth USD 325 mil.

Petrotrans wants to focus on large-scale consumers
Article Abstract:
Petrotrans (Prague, Czech Republic), fuel transporter, plans to focus on large-scale consumers from 2001. The plan is a part of the firm's new business project, which was agreed by Petrotrans's owner Benzina AS (Czech Republic) in the autumn of 2000. Petrotrans, which is the largest firm in its field in the Czech Republic, expects proceeds of CEK 195 mil in 2000.
