U.S. fights to keep control of global Internet oversight
Article Abstract:
The need for Internet policy for international governments, private sector and nongovernmental organizations has been highlighted at a United Nations International Telecommunication Union conference. The Internet, developed by the United States military is currently regulated by the United States and more international talks are planned. Freedom of innovation and a lack of bureaucracy are key concerns to preserve the Internet.

Germany faces the admission of busting EU budget rules
Article Abstract:
Germany is expected to acknowledge that it will be in violation of the European Union's euro-zone budget rules in 2004. This would be the third straight year that Germany would be in violation of the EU rules.
