U.S. rejects linking of plane orders to software sanctions
Article Abstract:
China's offer to purchase 30 commercial jets from Boeing Co. and 20 from McDonnell Douglas Corp. in exchange for delaying the sanctions against it for failing to protect US intellectual property rights has been rejected by the US. However, the US has refused to confirm whether it will pursue its plan to impose $2 billion in trade sanctions against China. Experts believe that the aircraft deals would test US' priorities.
