Basically a supplier to Hyundai Electronics Industries Company, Korea, it is now planning to launch its silicon designs in the world markets during late 1999. One of its completed design, a floating point core in 0.5 microns, a scaleable IEEE-754 compliant floating point unit, which is used for very fast computing of floating point arithmetic, is found to have good commercial prospects in the global markets. Another design is a high performance Risc (reduced instruction set computing) core embedded with graphics processor and is meant for applications such as image processing and virtual reality. The company has built $12 million worth intellectual property in Asic design in the 0.5 microns area. (um)(psr)
