Small business may be losing the only way they can trade stocks if the London Stock Exchange closes down its unlisted securities market. This decision is strange since trading in small company stocks is doing well. Stock investors are betting on strong recoveries by small businesses hurt by the recession.

All major political leaders in France are over the age of 60, including retiring Pres Francois Mitterrand, who is 78. Although voters complain that they are tired of the same choices, most agree than the French seek older, experienced men for their leaders.
