VENSOFT INDIA EXPORTS BEGIN TO PAY

Vensoft India Pvt Ltd, a 100 percent software export unit of Hyderabad, has begun exports and has earned $35,000 in the first quarter of 1998-99. The company currently has got orders worth $1.5 lakh and expects to get another $2.5 lakh worth of orders. The company has recently signed memorandum of understandings with Atworks, Malla Systems, Vensoft Inc, Logic Soft and the Applications Consulting Group in the US and Singapore. The company has targeted a turnover of $5 million over the next 5 years. (khr)

Adani Exports Limited has earned an exports revenue of Rs2417.78 crore for 1997-98. The exports revenue has increased by 50.5 percent for the company against India's overall exports growth of 4 percent during 1997-98. It has posted a net profit of Rs62.51 crore for the year (Rs53.89 crore in 1996-97). The company has declared a dividend of 30 percent for 1997-98 (25 percent). Its earnings per share is Rs56.70 on an equity of Rs11.02 crore. (rk)

The Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (CIEFL) in Hyderabad is set to earn nearly Rs2.5 crore each year from foreign students by teaching the English language. In the last 40 years, the Institute has trained around 50,000 English teachers. Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages has drawn up a plan to export English speaking countries ranging from Senegal and Laos to China. (gsh)
