Bertelsmann seeks to buy remaining 10% of RTL

German media company Bertelsmann AG is seeking to buy the remaining 10% of Luxembourg's RTL Group S.A. that it does not own already. The deal would be valued at approximately $1.47 bil. RTL is Europe's biggest television broadcasting firm and serves 10 countries including France, Spain, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

Spiegel rejects purchase of FT Deutschland stake
Article Abstract:
The staff of German publishing firm Spiegel-Verlag Rudolf Augstein GmbH has rejected a plan for the company to purchase a 50% stake in the newspaper Financial Times Deutschland from British publisher Pearson PLC. Spiegel's staff controls 50.5% of the firm. Pearson may find a different way for structuring the deal.
