There are misconceptions about crime in the US, including the belief that crime is on the rise and that there is more crime in the US. In fact, crime has been decreasing, and the US is not more criminal than elsewhere. Nevertheless, US citizens fear crime and make it a top political priority.

A new exhibition of art and photos remembering the Persian Gulf War has opened in the Saddam Arts Centre in Iraq. The exhibit is meant to cement the feelings of the Iraqi people against the Western allies who wreaked havoc on their country.
