Wallflower to wild success?
Article Abstract:
Lower fees, appreciation for diversity in investments, and traditional investments such as property and gold not doing well are all contributing to the increasing number of Asians investing in mutual funds. Currently only 14% of the population in Singapore, 10% of Japan and 8% of Hong Kong currently invest in funds. Analysts expect the numbers of fund investors in Asia to continue to rise.
