Article Abstract:

The post-processing of solutions is a feasible approach to balancing the weight distribution in a particular container. The heuristic approach that was developed, when evaluated against other existing methodologies, exhibited a capability to produce loading arrangements that combine both equal weight distribution and efficient space use of the cargo. The solution is an approach to container loading that addresses issues such as personnel safety and safe container handling.
