Western fighter for CPD
Article Abstract:
Jane Pinnock is employed by the Wessex region of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) as continuing professional development (CPD) manager. Her role is to organise courses, lectures and other events and to publicise CPD in her region. She believes the CPD scheme is badly underfunded and that her job would be more secure if she were employed by RIBA's national headquarters. She also finds many architects are not interested in CPD and unwilling to pay for or attend events. A trained teacher, Pinnock has been doing her present job for over two years.
