Fibroids are tumors in the uterus that are not cancerous but are found in about 30% of American women. Some of the symptoms of fibroids include severe menstrual bleeding and cramps. Abdominal myomectomy and laparoscopic surgery are some of the treatments used for fibroids.

Anemia is a condition brought about by inadequate oxygenation of tissues due to lack of healthy red blood cells. The disease is often associated with lack of iron. Foods with high iron and Vitamin C content are essential in decreasing the risk of contracting anemia.
