The play 'Death of a Salesman' by Arthur Miller is attracting large audiences on Broadway, although unemployment is low. Despite low unemployment, there is still workplace insecurity. A downturn in the business cycle would lead to a rise in unemployment, and many people in the US are fearful of losing their jobs. New jobs can be found, but they may not offer healthcare and pension benefits. New technology could cause greater dislocation, since its impact has only started to be felt in the US, according to Intel boss, Andy Grove.
