Article Abstract:
The trend for wealthier people to have fewer children has been attributed to the desire to accumulate wealth. An examination of the Kipsigis society in Kenya discounts this theory, and instead leads researchers to conclude that overstimulation to material goods is responsible for the lower birth rates.
