Yehudi Menuhin was a child star in the US, where he played the violin at Carnegie Hall, New York. he was also known as a good and decent man who set up a number of music schools and music festivals, and was concerned about environmental issues. His mother was ambitious for her son, and she was not easily satisifed. His mother selected his first wife, and the marriage was brief. His second wife, Diana, brought happiness, according to film biographer, Tony Palmer, who documented the story of Menuhin's life.
