Hands off the Internet
Article Abstract:
President Bill Clinton's decision to leave the internet alone is likely to affect other countries. Many governments worry about the US' liberal views on cyberspace regulations. They say that regulatory measures on the Internet are necessary because there is more involved than just pornography and enticement to racial hatred and that regulatory laws on the Internet could help protect consumers and businesses. Regulations should be left into the hands of the market itself. Also, new regulations will not have any effect on difficult adolescents but rather the use of little and existing regulations.
