Yukos executive is arrested on financial fraud charges

Vasily Aleksanian newly appointed vice president of OAO NK Yukos of Russia has been charged with money laundering and embezzlement. The troubled oil company is on the verge of backruptcy due to billions of dollars in back taxes owing and politics with Russian authorities. Mr. Aleksanian was appointed to turn around the company.
