Spring House, PA-based loan company Advanta Corp. will be cutting expenses, shutting down its auto lending business, and losing a top executive with the departure of Carl Forsythe, hired September 1998. The company is hiring 49 bill collectors and total employment is expected to remain at the current level until the end of 1999.
