Information concerning tax legislation passed by Congress in 1997 is available free of charge on the Internet. Two World Wide Web sites provide full legislative texts. Related information such as commentary is available on five Web sites. These Web sites are entitled or provided by the Speaker of the House, Internal Revenue Service, Thomas Legislative Information, KPMG, Deloitte and Touche, Massachusetts Society of CPAs, and Weiss and Weissman Inc.

The progress of US tax legislation can be followed and researched on the World Wide Web. Several free Web sites can be accessed which provide different aspects of information on the subject. Government sites can provide primary authority and policy-oriented private sources can provide secondary authority. Reference to Web site names and their addresses may be useful. Commercial publishers have related sites accessible for a fee.

International tax on the Web
Article Abstract:
Planning and research information about international tax topics is available without cost on various World Wide Web sites. The information in these sites cannot be relied upon for use in official documents but are good sources of general information.
