Article Abstract:
Two of the main characteristics of Man income tax are: a standard rate of twenty percent, and a generous system for granting relief from the effects of double taxation on foreign source income. Company registration tax is charged on companies incorporated in the Isle of Man which are controlled outside the island. Land speculation tax is charged on the capital profits arising or accruing to a vendor of land in the Isle of Man. Property rates are charged on the basis of annual value.

Commercial spaceports - a window of opportunity?
Article Abstract:
The development of commercial spaceports is seen by several countries as a means of economic development. Australia, Canada, Norway and some states of the US expressed interest in developing such. However, there are no indications that benefits will outnumber costs and it may be a losing proposition for entrepreneurs unless there is substantial government subsidies. The launch of smaller satellites may be more profitable.
