Action on the north west frontier
Article Abstract:
The corporate finance sector of north west England is increasingly mature, and has seen a number of publicly quoted companies going private. Such deal include a management buyout of Instem in 1997, and a Feb 1998 buyout of Target Express, one of the biggest deals in the year to May 98. The acquisition of T and N by Federal Mogul was the largest deal in the region in that period. US firms are showing interest in companies in the region and some interest could come from US venture capital companies in biotech firms in north west England.
