Altruism and the economic on non-profit organisations
Article Abstract:
Economists have differed in their attitudes toward altruistic behavior over the centuries and many believe that most people are motivated by selfishness and not kindness. Yet, there are many who desire to do good things and many non-profit organizations can be explained only by altruistic motives. The Kantian ethic can also explain non-profits, in addition, as the default model of neo-classical economics is not sufficient to explain them.
