Diagonal is a UK information technology consultant which plans a flotation in Mar 1997. The company's clients include Ford and Shell. The SAP division is growing especially rapidly and has established a recruitment arm. Diagonal is raising 4 million pounds sterling and some shares will be sold by the company's directors and 3i. The company's finances appear healthy with a rise in profit of some 100% to 2 million pounds sterling for the 12 months to Nov 1997, and a rise in turnover of 48% to 28 million pounds in this period.

Strategic boost
Article Abstract:
Danka Business Systems has set up an alliance with Hewlett-Packard which could help boost Danka's earnings. Danka is to service and distribute computer peripherals such as laserjet printers from Hewlett-Packard. The venture is initially confined to the US though could become international. Danka's stock price rose when news of this agreement was released, though it is not known how far the agreement could affect Danka's earnings. Hewlett-Packard has some 35 million printers installed in the US.
