Optimus Corp., Ellicott City, Md., was awarded on Aug. 5, 1998, an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract (with firm-fixed-price delivery orders), with a cumulative total of $15,900,550. Appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order. Two contracts were awarded from one solicitation. Competitive, with 8(a) set-aside. Test and Evaluation Center Office Program Support for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD), Acquisition and Technology (A&T), Director, Test, Systems Engineering, and Evaluation Test Facilities and Resources. Services include information management and administration services to facilitate execution of Department of Defense Test and Evaluation special projects. Services include providing a facilitated environment, including collaborative tools and methods, to support integration and improvement of Department of Defense Test and Evaluation processes. Contractor is required to maintain SECRET facility and safeguarding clearances. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2003. There were 193 bids solicited on July 1, 1997, and nine bids were received. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Service-Washington, Washington, D.C. (DASW01-98-D-0046).

Logicon R&D Associates, Los Angeles, Calif., was awarded on July 23, 1998, a $5,441,950 increment of a $16,738,774 modification to a cost-plus-award-fee contract for scientific and engineering technical assistance to the Defense Special Weapons Agency. This modification expands the level of effort called for under an existing competitively awarded contract for Scientific and Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to meet current continuing requirements, and includes and extends the period of performance by eight months through March 31, 1999; full support for existing tasking, including remaining needed effort for internally funded projects, support for counterproliferation projects, support for the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty implementation, and additional weapon effects/Ballistic Missile Defense Organization (BMDO) support lethality technology. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 23, 1993. The contracting activity is the Defense Special Weapons Agency, Alexandria, Va. (DNA001-93-C-0138).
