Allied Signal Inc., Allied Signal Engines, Phoenix, Ariz., is being awarded a $6,449,368 modification to a firm-fixed-price (with cost-reimbursable over and above contract-line-options) contract for a conversion effort to upgrade the T-55-L-712 Turbine Engine to the T-55-GA-714A configuration. Work will be performed in Greer, S.C., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 1999. Of the total contract funds, $1,877,600 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 21, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH23-98-C-0028).

National Airmotive Corp.*, Oakland, Calif., is being awarded a $337,939 increment as part of an $8,161,719 firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for maintenance and overhaul of the T703 R, R1 and R1 sand damaged engines applicable to the Kiowa Warrior aircraft. Work will be performed in Oakland, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 15 bids solicited on Aug. 20, 1998, and seven bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH23-98-D-0148).
