Article Abstract:
AIRSYS ATM Inc., Shawnee, Kan., is being awarded a firm-fixed-price/time and materials contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order), with a cumulative total of $9,299,998. The project is for the overhaul and repair of line replacement units for AN/FPN 66/A, training classes, and technical field and telephonic support of AN/FPN 66/A, which is a primary and secondary radar system for ten Army sites worldwide. Work will be performed at various sites inside the continental United States (70%), and outside the continental United States (30%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2002. This is a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 30, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-98-D-B312).

Colt's Manufacturing Co. Inc.*, Hartford, Conn., is being awarded a $6,371,568 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 16,464 M16A4 rifles, 5.56 mm. Work will be performed in Hartford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by June 6, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on April 8, 1998, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAE20-98-C-0119).
