Telemetrix
Article Abstract:
Telmetrix has a leading position in the world market for portable equipment for testing digital telecoms networks, though its share in the US is small. This should change following a distribution agreement with Hewlett Packard. The company has also acquired a semiconductor plant, and this division, Zetex, produces analog chips which are not as sensitive to prices cycles as are some other chip types. The company has good organic growth potential and should be able to fund acquisitions.

AF Bulgin: green shoots
Article Abstract:
AF Bulgin has reported a profit for the two years to 1995 following a period of problems arising from an investment in a new plant in the late 1980s. The company acquired Source Electronics, a power supply distributor, in 1992 and this has helped boost profits. Demand is increasing from the computer and telecommunications industries and the new plant in Lincoln, England, will be expanded to meet this increase. The company's profit is forecast at 1.2 million pounds sterling for 1995.
