Asymmetric price transmission in the Greek agri-food sector: some tests
Article Abstract:
Two models, namely an error correction model (ECM) and a LSE-Hendry general-to-specific model (GETS), are used to examine the integration of and price transmission mechanism between producers and consumers in the Greek agri-food sector. It is shown that both the models agree with the asymmetric price transmission for food and the symmetric transmission for fruits but do not agree on the transmission for vegetables.
