The genome sequence of the entomopathogenic bacterium Photorhabdus luminescens
Article Abstract:
Research reveals that the complete genome sequence of the neamatode Photorhabdus luminescens strain TT01 is 5,688,987 base pairs long with 4,839 protein-coding genes. Data indicate that the gene products are comprised of number of adhesins, toxins, hemolysins, proteases and lipases. In addiion, the nematode contains a wide range of genes encoding antibiotics.

Complete genome sequence of the entomopathogenic and metabolically versatile soil bacterium Pseudomonas entomophila
Article Abstract:
The complete genome sequence of the 5.9-Mb entomopathogenic bacterium, Pseudomonas entomophila is determined and compared to the sequenced genomes of four Pseudomonas species. P. entomophila possesses most of the catabolic genes of the closely related strain P. putida KT2440, revealing its metabolicaly versatile properties and its soil lifestyle.
