Bank regulation and risk-taking incentives: an international comparison of bank risk
Article Abstract:
A study based on the databases from 251 banks in 36 countries is presented to assess the effects of banking regulations relating to bank charter value and risk-taking policies. The effects of risk taking policies and deposit insurance on the bank's charter value are also analyzed.
