Biodefense hampered by government-industry conflict

The conflicting pressures between the government and the industry hampers their ability to address bioterrorism threats. According to Nancy Saucier, who represented the National Venture Capital Association, based in Arlington, Virginia, the government's initiatives to counter bioterrorism, does not make the market hospitable for investments in the biodefense industry.
