Aerospace industry to fight defense trade limits
Article Abstract:
The aerospace industry will not be rescued by protectionist limits on imports of military and civilian aircraft to the United States but by greater globalization in which some components of aircraft are made abroad. The United States is facing a loss of jobs as U.S. aerospace corporations are outsourcing production of some aircraft components to nations overseas.

Northrop joins Raytheon Littoral combat ship team

Northrop Grumman Corp. along with a team led by Raytheon Co. is to design the next generation Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), a coastal fighter. The entire program is expected to be worth $15 billion to $20 billion.
