Eve Group is a contractor that has sold its construction division and focuses on crash-barrier hiring through Trakway, and cabling installation and transmission refurbishment through Eve Power. Trakway ranks first in the UK market and covers the UK as a whole. Eve Transmission, part of Eve Power, was awarded a 6.3 million pounds sterling contract by National Grid in 1998. The transmission side should benefit from expected rapid growth in the European mobile phone industry. The company's profit is forecast at 3.8 million pounds sterling for 1998-1999, according to Beeson Gregory.

Vibroplant: not at all vibrant
Article Abstract:
Vibroplant is a UK plant hirer which has been affected by recession int he UK construction industry. The company has seen a drop in hire rates due to overcapacity among plant hirers. UK output for infrastructure looks set to drop by 4% in 1996 and a further 2% in 1997, according to BMP which represents firms in the industry. This will hit Vibroplant which will have difficulty avoiding a loss in 1996. The company is restructuring its UK hire activities but benefits from restructuring may not help in the short term.
