US President George Bush, in an inaugural address launching his second term as the 43rd president, set forth a broad rationale for war that would be met easily than the specifies that provided the basis for earlier conflicts. Bush, in his first inaugural address after September 11 attack, appeared to allude to the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq and said that his most solemn duty is to protect this nation and its people from further attacks and emerging threats.
