Budget bill funds four ships, Raptor, C-130J; cuts $7 billion overall
Article Abstract:
The Senate Appropriations Committee (SAC) has reported a defense appropriations bill that cuts a total $7 billion from the US President George W. Bush's already-lean $397.2 billion request for Department of Defense funds in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2006. The SAC cuts might affect weapons procurement programs, cutting them down to $75.8 billion from the $78.041 billion.
