Receiving stock, stock option or warrants are the most common non-cash compensation offered by public relations (PR) clients to services rendered. Before accepting such forms of compensations, a PR firm must first determine a number of things. These include the affordability of the deal by determining the amount of capital on hand, the fair market valuation of the stocks being offered and the conditions attached to the stock transfer in the form of taxes.
