Cellular Mobile Communications and Its Impact on Metro Areas
Article Abstract:
New mobile telephone technology will make executives and managers more productive. Time spent in traffic can be used for business. Conventional technology for mobile phones was not adequate to cover an entire metro area. A description of how cellular technology works and how it differs from traditional systems is provided. Mobile phone users get, as a result, fine service and immediate access to a dial tone. Cellular phones can even interface with computers. A glossary of terms for cellular radio and phone equipment is given.
