Challenges in deriving high-confidence protein identifications from data gathered by HUPO plasma proteome collaborative study
Article Abstract:
The Human Proteome Organization (HUPO) has initiated a study of human serum and plasma proteins to evaluate the feasibility of collaborative approach to proteome analysis using diverse technologies applied by multiple laboratories to a common set of reference specimens. The resulting data set is intended as an expandable resource for studies of serum and plasma to uncover variations in health and disease and also for the assessment of novel analytical tools.

A synthetic mimic of a discontinuous binding site on interleukin-10
Article Abstract:
University researchers from Germany artificially reconstructed a discontinuous interleukin-10 binding site that recognizes the anti-IL antibody CB/RS/1 as an alternative means to design protein mimics.
