Improving the efficiency of RNA interference in mammals
Article Abstract:
RNA interference (RNAi) are successfully applied as a gene-silencing technology in both plants and invertebrates but the practical obstacles need to be overcome before it becomes viable for mammalian systems. Greater specificity and efficiency of RNAi in mammal is being achieved by improving the design and selection of small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) by increasing the efficacy of their delivery to cells and organisms.

Gene discovery by ribozyme and siRNA libraries
Article Abstract:
The usefulness of siRNA and siRNA libraries in gene discovery is demonstrated by comparing ribozyme technology and siRNA technology with special emphasis on both the type of libraries. The improved ribozymes are used to create randomized libraries that allow the identification of conventional coding gene and even gene for novel non-coding RNAs.
