China aims to improve amphibious capabilities, DOD says

China's plans to import significant new military hardware are detailed by the US Defense Department in its annual report to the US Congress on China's military power. Some of the new information includes a rise in the dollar value of contracts with foreign arms suppliers, a 7 percent increase in arms agreement values, and the intention of People Liberation Army (PLA) to improve its amphibious lift capability that could very well be used against Taiwan.

Armored guns for 82nd Airborne in Limbo
Article Abstract:
The 82nd Airborne Division is still waiting for delivery of four lighweight armored guns that are stored in Pennsylvania, after receiving permission from Army leadership. The division has also made a requirement of the M8 Armored Gun System (AGS).
