City awaits charity's kiss of life
Article Abstract:
Booths' Charities was set up in 1630, and is both a charity and an institutional investor. The charity owns real estate in central Manchester and the trustees are seeking to dispose of this. A site in Manchester's Oxford Street offers potential for a large office development. British Telecom may be interested in using the site once it has been developed. The freehold on this site is likely to be kept on by the charity, though other sites may be sold outright.
