Collaborative research presents special problems for patent seekers
Article Abstract:
A lot of research is going on in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies in collaboration with the universities or private or public organizations. The problems that arise in this collaborative research are that patent applications may be filed for new inventions made, but in this research process later on if someone else invents this and files the application for patent then the examiner has to compare both the results and check whether they satisfy the rules of patentability.
