Commercial, wide-format inkjet media and ink systems are growing in light of increased stability in both indoor and outdoor display conditions. Almost every market category is contributing to the growth, including consumer/portrait, fine-art printmaking, and reflective and rear-illumination commercial exhibition signage and advertising displays products. For instance, Eastman Kodak Co. sells a line of inkjet media designed for the Kodak Professional Large Format 2042 and 2060 printers, using Kodak Professional Pigmented Inks.

A commercial product from Adobe Systems Inc called Adobe Acrobat is needed to create and read the format. Adobe Acrobat, which is avaialble for around $150 in mail-order catalogs and computer stores, is comprised of Acrobat Distiller, Acrobat Exchange and Acrobat Catalog.

A stitch in time

Four panoramic software are available in the market that would help consumers incorporate several images taken from on point and 'stitch' them together into a single panoramic image. These are Enroute's QuickStitch 360, Roundabout Logic's Nodester, Apple Computer Inc's QTVR Authoring Studio and Live Picture Inc's PhotoVista. All of these software generate flat files in BMP, PICT, JPEG or other formats, as well as movie files.
