Roche: mixed week
Article Abstract:
Roche has received good reports for its Invirase treatment for HIV. The company's subsidiary, Genentech, has lost its chief executive, Kirk Raab, removed by an independent directors committee. Arthur Levinson takes over from Raab at Genentech. The news about Invirase has had little impact on assessments for Roche's profits since previous announcements of this kind have sometimes led to disappointments. The new drug could bring in annual sales of 250 million Swiss francs by 2000.
