Conservation, markets, and fisheries policy: The North Atlantic bluefin tuna and Japanese sashimi market
Article Abstract:
The importance of market consideration for conservation with the U.S. bluefin tuna fishery is illustrated by measuring the actual gains of a systemic approach to fisheries conservation where, market, fishing technology, and fish population information are integrated in the regulatory process. How much the Japanese sashimi market would reward the U.S. fishery for improvements in quality, and whether the expected rise in revenues would be cost-effective is investigated.

Assessing the Efficiency of Exchange Rate-Linked Subsidies (ERLS) for non-price export promotion: The case of cotton
Article Abstract:
An equilibrium displacement framework was developed to evaluate whether the efficacy of export promotion expenditure could be increased by linking them with changes in the exchange rate. Findings support exchange rate linked subsidies for export promotion of agricultural products.
