Core process development can help companies increase the benefits of their investments to improve productivity. The process takes into account stockholders' expectations and integrates them with the concrete strategic objectives of the top-level management. The process reduces uncertainty and maximizes the benefits expected from the investments. A fictional company called International Chemical Co. is used to illustrate the proper application of core process development.
