Cross - border bank mergers: what lures the rare animal?
Article Abstract:
The information costs and the regulations are the two main factors influence companies deciding against international mergers in the banking industry. Over 3000 cross border mergers that have taken place between 1985 - 2001 in the banking industry are analyzed for the determinants of the mergers.
