The company has registered gains in net income and increase in occupancy rate and total revenues of its two cruise ships and hotel. This financial upswing has resulted from an effective publicity campaign and competent marketing and promotional strategies such as packaged cruises to attract potential clients. The company plans to construct a third steamboat and possibly integrate gambling in its operations as part of its expansion program.

Promus tightens purchase on regional gaming handle

Promus Companies Inc is presently involved in three regional gambling projects as various states and municipalities attempt to increase profits by inviting gambling projects into their respective domain. Promus has already entered the overseas casino management and may also become a competitor for the building of the 1st gambling casino in Chicago. In 1991, Promus profited with $1 a share on flat revenues of more than $1 billion.
