Determination of worker physiological cost in workspace reach envelopes
Article Abstract:
The measurement of oxygen uptake, heart rate and myoelectric activity was done while performing a repetitive task in the normal, maximum and extreme workspace reach envelopes. It was found that worker physiological cost increases during task performance with the increase in workspace reach levels.

Do ergonomics improvements increase computer workers' productivity?: an intervention study in a call center
Article Abstract:
A field study was conducted at a catalog retail service organization to explore the impact of ergonomics improvements on worker production. The findings indicate that worker performance increased for 50 percent of the ergonomics improvement participants and decreased for 50 percent.

To validate the positive outcomes of the laboratory study, of the effects of standard setting and performance feedback in a repetitive industrial task, in a real industrial setting a study is presented. Some methods to implement the positive outcomes of the research are suggested.
